Helping Women & Girls Live Their Dreams

2021 Non-Profit of the Year by the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce.

Soroptimist International of the Delta has been empowering women and girls in the Delta region since June 24, 1984. For over four decades, our members have worked side by side with the women and girls of this community, not just handing out resources but building relationships that last. We’ve awarded scholarships to help women pursue education and training they might not otherwise afford. We’ve mentored girls who needed someone in their corner. We’ve shown up at community events, advocated for policies that protect women and families, and done the quieter work of making sure no one in the Delta region has to face hard times alone.

What sets us apart is how we work. We know that no single organization can meet every need, so we’ve built lasting partnerships with organizations already doing the work on the ground, Brentwood Regional Community Chest, Pillars of Hope, Shepherd’s Gate, Helping One Woman (HOW) and Network of Care among them. Together, we pool our resources, our knowledge, and our people to reach further than any of us could alone. That collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, because we believe real, lasting change in a community only happens when organizations stop competing for impact and start working toward it together.

Our members come from all walks of life: teachers, business owners, retirees, young professionals, all united by a shared belief that every woman and girl deserves the chance to reach her full potential. Whether that means a scholarship that makes college possible, a mentor who believes in her, or simply a community that has her back, we’re here to make sure she has what she needs.

We’d love for you to join us. Our meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm at the Brentwood Community Center, 35 Oak Street, Conference Room B, Brentwood, CA. Come see what we’re about, and see what we could build together.
