2026 Student Recognition Dinner Presentation

Live Your Dream Award

Soroptimist International of the Americas established the Live Your Dream Award in 1972 to support women who are the primary financial providers for their families.

The program gives them the resources to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects.

Applicants have faced economic and social barriers, along with personal hardships, that have gotten in the way of their educational and professional goals.

The award changes lives, for women who need and deserve support for themselves and their families.

Delta Dreamers

Soroptimist International of the Delta created this award to help women and girls in our Delta community access education that leads to economic empowerment.

Women and girls living in Brentwood and surrounding communities may apply if they are facing obstacles, are 17 or older, and are enrolled in, or applying to, college, technical or vocational school, adult education, or job skills training.

The Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award recognizes young women ages 14 to 18 who volunteer in their communities or schools. It honors those whose work makes their community, and the world, a better place.

Legacy Award‍ ‍

Soroptimist International of the Delta created this award to honor members who have passed on. It’s open to senior girls attending our local high schools and alternative education programs.

Entrants write and deliver a speech on topics related to women’s struggles, with public speaking as a core part of the judging criteria.

Winners present their speeches live at our Legacy Speech event in March 2027.
