Soroptimist International of the Delta is proud to bring the Dream It, Be It program to girls in our community. This global Soroptimist initiative helps girls build the confidence, skills, and support system they need to pursue their goals, no matter what challenges stand in their way.

For many girls, the biggest obstacle isn’t ability, it’s access. Access to mentors who look like them, access to honest conversations about what different careers actually look like, access to someone who believes in them before they fully believe in themselves. Dream It, Be It exists to close that gap.

Through mentorship, workshops, and hands on guidance, participants spend time with women who have walked the path before them. They explore career options they may not have considered, practice skills like goal setting and public speaking, and work through the kind of real talk that builds genuine confidence rather than empty encouragement. Girls leave the program not just with a list of possibilities, but with a clearer sense of who they want to become and the belief that they can actually get there.

This work matters because the girls who need this kind of support most are often the ones least likely to have it already. Soroptimist International of the Delta is committed to making sure that where a girl starts doesn’t determine where she can go.
